Lead Community Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative that has been serving our community since 1986. Unlike traditional banks, we're a not-for-profit credit union, which means we offer better rates, lower fees, and personalized service. Every account holder is a part-owner with voting rights.

Becoming a member is easy! You need to:
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Live, work, or worship in our service area
  • Open a share savings account with a minimum deposit of $25
  • Provide valid identification and proof of address
You can apply online, by phone, or visit any of our branch locations.

Yes! Your deposits are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), which is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government. This is equivalent to NCUA share insurance for banks.

  2. Open the mobile app and select "Deposit Check"
  3. Take photos of the front and back of the check
  4. Enter the deposit amount
  5. Submit for processing
Most deposits are available within one business day. Daily limits apply.

Fees & Rates

We pride ourselves on low, transparent fees:
  • Monthly Checking Fee: $0 (Free checking!)
  • Overdraft Fee: $25 (with overdraft protection available)
  • ATM Fee (out-of-network): $2.50
  • Wire Transfer (domestic): $15
  • Wire Transfer (international): $35
  • Stop Payment: $20
  • Cashier's Check: $10
Many fees can be waived with qualifying account balances or direct deposit setup.

  • Savings Account: Up to 4.25% APY
  • Money Market: Up to 4.50% APY
  • 12-Month CD: 4.75% APY
  • Auto Loans: From 5.49% APR
  • 30-Year Fixed Mortgage: From 6.75% APR
